I overwintered a black swallowtail chrysalis. Ginger, a female black swallowtail butterfly emerged safely on Sunday, May 17th at 7:17 am.
Here’s a short video I edited to show some of the highlights… I included a few stills as well, as I didn’t have my iPhone unlocked to capture the very beginning when it peaked out. Those photos I took on my iPad. Please note I changed the speed to 8X on some sections to shorten the length… where is where some of the squeaking comes in!
